"my kids got bored quickly" 2009-08-25
By Claire Heaton (UK)
I bought this for my 4 year old twins but they quickly lost intrest. They thought there were too many silly animation clips and not enough games to play.

"We never got into it" 2009-06-07
By Mr. D. Sykes (Hull, England)
We found this game difficult to control and difficult to understand.

We lost interest before we had much of a chance to try it. We may try it again one day, but meanwhile Lego Star Wars is the number one choice

"Good, but is straining my ears" 2008-09-10
By J. Roberts (UK)
For the age group, this could have been a four- or even five-star review, but ... it's such a strain to hear the instructions. 1 - there is 'background' music (which sounds very much like it's in the foreground) playing all the time; 2 - Stefan the narrating elephant has a slightly difficult (to an English ear) accent and style of speaking; 3 - the instructions for what to find next are delivered just when the child is shouting excitedly about having completed the previous task. There is then no easy way to get the instructions to repeat. It *is* a fun game, it's just frustrating that I have to help my daughter listen out for the instructions, and then keep backing out of the game in order to hear them again.

 "Wii's first kids-friendly game" 2007-09-30
By Vortexnavigator (England)
This game is aimed squarely at the 3-8 age bracket, and is probably the first Wii game to overtly court that age group.

Play wise, it's similar to brain training games, but simpler. Games involve shapes, colours and sounds. Using the controller is quite intuitive for little hands, for example navigating the game brings to mind using a mouse as the pointer changes when something selectable appears, whilst in some games, dragging and dropping items (for example, decorating a room, like in The Sims) also improves hand-eye co-ordination.

My youngest has been desperate to use Wii but hasn't been able to use the controller (his attempts at playing Wii Sports are hilarious) but this has given him his 'own' game and he's made up.

One word of warning, though If your children are hard of hearing, (or noisy while playing) they'll find this difficult as all instructions are given verbally. This is obviously to encourage non-reading children to play, but subtitle options might have been useful.

It's great to see a company like UbiSoft (Red Steel, Rayman) taking advantage of Wii's features to produce product for younger gamers.
