I bought this as soon as it came out for my seven year old. He likes it a lot, although there are no walk-throughs or cheat codes on the net at this time, so no additional "help" available. Some levels are a delight, others are a bit sinister and difficult. When I say sinister I mean that there is quite a lot of killing baddies. Spongebob gets some good power-ups in the form of either a rainbow, turning into a giant hammer, a squidward which kills all monsters with his terrible clarinet playing or spongebob turns into a giant whirling wheel.



Spongbob collects tokens along the way and can buy stuff for his pinapple and upgrade fixtures and furnishings along the way. The aim is for him to find the lost Krabby Patty formula. In two player mode, Plankton is attached to spongebob's head and can either kill or stun monsters for Spongebob, making the game less stressful. The first thing that you should upgrade, when you've accumulated enough tokens (or happiness nuggets as they are called), is to purchase health upgrades, these give Spongebob greater relisience against enemies.



Overall I would say that this game is well worth purchasing for any Spongebob fan, but I would personally recommend an age group of eight years or above as there is some violence in the game.
